Getting Started
What is GroupCheers?
GroupCheers is a platform for creating beautiful digital group cards for workplace celebrations. Create a card, share a link with your team, everyone signs it with messages and GIFs, and you deliver it to the recipient via email, Slack, or Teams.
How do I create a group card?
Sign up for a free account, click 'Create Card', choose the occasion and recipient, pick a theme, and you're done. Share the signing link with your team and they can add their messages instantly.
Do people need an account to sign a card?
No. Anyone with the card link can sign it without creating an account. They just enter their name, write a message, optionally add a GIF, and submit. It takes about 30 seconds.
How many people can sign a card?
It depends on your plan. Free allows up to 10 signers, Starter up to 50, and Pro/Enterprise plans have unlimited signers. There's no maximum message length restriction beyond 500 characters per message.
Can I customize the card design?
Yes! GroupCheers offers 16+ themes including confetti, elegant, neon, sunset, ocean, aurora, and more. Pro and Enterprise plans also allow custom branding with your company logo.
Delivery & Sharing
How do I deliver the card to the recipient?
You have multiple options: send via email directly from GroupCheers, share a link via Slack or Microsoft Teams, send via WhatsApp, or share the link however you prefer. You can also schedule delivery for a specific date and time.
Can I schedule delivery?
Yes. When creating or editing a card, set a delivery date and time. GroupCheers will automatically send the card at the scheduled moment. Perfect for birthdays and planned celebrations.
Can the recipient see the card before it's delivered?
No. The card remains private until you deliver it. Only people with the signing link can see and add messages. The recipient gets access only when you choose to send it.
What does the recipient see?
Recipients see a beautiful, interactive card page with all the messages from their colleagues. They can scroll through personal notes, see GIFs and stickers, and save the card to revisit anytime.
Integrations
Which tools does GroupCheers integrate with?
GroupCheers integrates with Slack, Microsoft Teams, email (any provider), and WhatsApp. You can import contacts from Slack/Teams, send notifications to channels, and deliver cards directly in your team's tools.
How do I connect Slack?
Go to Settings > Integrations and click 'Connect Slack'. You'll be prompted to authorize GroupCheers in your Slack workspace. Once connected, you can import team members and send cards to channels.
How do I connect Microsoft Teams?
Go to Settings > Integrations and click 'Connect Teams'. You'll authorize GroupCheers through Microsoft's login. Once connected, you can import team members and deliver cards to Teams channels.
Can I import contacts from a CSV?
Yes. Go to Contacts and click 'Import CSV'. Upload a file with columns for name, email, and optionally birthday. GroupCheers will import everyone and set up birthday reminders automatically.
Pricing & Billing
Is GroupCheers really free?
Yes! The Free plan includes 3 cards per month with up to 10 signers each. No credit card required, no trial period. It's free forever.
Can I upgrade or downgrade anytime?
Absolutely. Change your plan at any time from Settings > Billing. Upgrades take effect immediately, and downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle.
Do you offer annual billing?
Yes. Annual plans save you 20% compared to monthly billing. You can switch to annual billing in your account settings.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) through our secure payment partner LemonSqueezy. Enterprise customers can also pay via invoice.
Can I get a refund?
If you're not satisfied, contact us within 14 days of your purchase for a full refund. No questions asked.
Privacy & Security
Is my data secure?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use secure infrastructure hosted by Vercel and Neon Database. We never sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising.
Are you GDPR compliant?
Yes. GroupCheers is fully GDPR compliant. You can export or delete your data at any time. See our Privacy Policy and Sub-Processors page for full details.
Who can see the cards I create?
Only people with the signing link can see and sign the card. Cards are private by default. The recipient only gets access when you deliver it.
Can I delete a card and all its data?
Yes. You can delete any card from your dashboard. This permanently removes the card, all messages, and all associated data.
